Ferrari has unveiled today one of the most performant model in its history. It’s the much anticipated 599 GTO, based on the model with the same prefix 599 GTB Fiorano. With 670 horsepower and 3.35 seconds for 0-100 km/h, the new Ferrari 599 GTO is a top candidate for the supercar’s list of the performant car enthusiasts in the coming years.
The Ferrari 599 GTO adopts the same 6 liter V12 engine, which was modified in order to develop 670 horsepower at 8250 rpm. The power increased by 50 horses thanks to the new intake system and the exploitation of the resources, including the torque of 620 Nm at 6500 rpm, was possible thanks to the six reports F1 transmission able to change gears in just 50 milliseconds.
The unit with 12 cylinders in V promises an average consumption of 17.5 litres/100 km and emissions of 411 g/km. With these figures the engine rises to the new Euro 5 standards. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is done in 3.35 seconds and the top speed is exceeding 335 km/h.
The new Italian supercar will be built in only 599 units, each one will be able to travel to the Fiorano circuit in a time of 1 minute and 24 seconds.
