The growing appetite for hot and powerful hatches has definitely pushed Ford to create an extraordinary piece of machine that would gain the hearts of its customers all over the world. Well-received and appreciated for its “skills” and design in Europe, the all-new Ford Fiesta ST is ready to land in Australia in the second quarter of next year.

Speaking of the introduction of the new Fiesta ST in Australia, CEO Graeme Whickman has also stated that:

“There is a strong appetite and passion for the Fiesta ST in our line-up, and can see the affinity and esteem that Australians have with driving enjoyment of the existing model. Fiesta ST shows the depth of enthusiast models that we’re bringing to Australia, with everything from this hot hatch through to the Ranger Raptor.”

When we usually refer to an ST model, we definitely have in mind more power and torque, plenty of new aerodynamic enhancements and sportier cabin. And fortunately, the all-new 2019 Ford Fiesta ST has all it takes to be a genuine racer.

With a more aerodynamic design, the new Ford Fiesta ST is ready to put the world on notice with the refreshed power under the hood. We are dealing here with a new 1.5-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, developing 147kW and 290 Nm of torque, which for its class, is pretty damn impressive.

Power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed transmission which works hand-in-hand with a high-performance front-wheel drive system equipped with torque-vectoring control. The whole deal allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a good 6.5 seconds, achieved at a top speed of 232 km/h.

Those looking for hotter figures, will be able to opt for a Quaife limited-slip differential with standard ’Torque Steer Compensation’.

The hot hatch also comes equipped with three driving modes – Normal, Sport and Track – all ading increased handling capabilities and versatility. Prices for the new Ford Fiesta ST in Australia will be announced this autumn.
