GM seems to be on a slippery slope right now, as they have just issued yet another recall, this time involving the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse models.
Earlier this year, GM took quite a hit, with a massive recall to repair a discovered ignition switch fault.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, the recalls just kept pouring in, with this one being the fifth one in the past two weeks. As recalls go, this one isn’t all that big for the manufacturer, with only 8.208 units being affected, but little by little, GM is gathering expenses and losing customer faith.
As for the recall itself, the issue seems to be located at the front brakes, which received rear brake rotors by mistake. In these vehicles, the front brakes have to handle more load as the rear ones, and as result of this issue, owners might experience reduced braking performance. Luckily, no incidents or victims were recorded so far, and Gm is hard at work making sure there will be none.
