Hyundai introduced in South Korea the new generation Elantra. The model is radically aesthetic changed and comes with comfort features unmatched in the compact segment.
Hyundai presented at Busan Motor Show in South Korea, the new Avante model, which in Europe is known as Elantra. The new model takes design lines opened by the new Hyundai ix35 and reduce their scale and complete the picture of an interesting sedan of compact segment.
When the European launch, which will take place at the end of this year, the new Hyundai Elantra will have a completely new engine present in Hyundai’s range. It’s the 1.6-liter gasoline unit with direct injection that develops 140 hp and 167 Nm.
Although the engine power increased by 13% compared to the previous 1.6 version from Hyundai’s range, the fuel consumption and emissions were reduced by 12%. The new engine will be coupled both with a manual transmission, and with an automatic six reports transmission already present on ix35.
