Don’t get me wrong, I like the fact that the automotive industry is constantly expanding lately but it’s getting rather annoying to find out how just about every motor show in some country somewhere has a new car ready.
Therefore, we will now be talking about the Barcelona Motor Show and the almost special treat we’re getting from this particular event is the Hyundai i40.
The Koreans already revealed the Hyundai i40 and I’m sure most of you know about ever since we were teased by it but the Barcelona i40 is different.
The Hyundai i40 is at the moment only available in estate form, but once the Spanish motor show gets happening, the Korean mid-sized car will be hitting the market with a lesser body shape.
Lesser in terms of volume alone as I’ve always considered the sedan version of a car that little bit better since it’s not just a practical choice but an all-rounder.
Hyundai only gave us a draft about how the new i40 sedan looks like and a possibility on the future engine lineup available for it.
That means that you can have the already known 1.7 liter diesel with 115 horsepower or 136 horsepower, the 1.6 GDI with 140 horsepower and the top offering should be a 2.0 liter Theta II engine that brings in 177 horsepower.
The Hyundai i40 sedan will be hitting the market a little bit later in the year despite the estate being already on the market.
