The Red Bull F1 team is so successful that their star driver, German Sebastian Vettel, is just about to get a special edition car named in his honor.
Based on the Infiniti FX50 SUV that Vettel drives on a daily basis, this new special edition is said to provide an added performance level as well as a more aggressive appearance.
This new special edition will be completely unveiled at the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show but until then, the luxury Japanese car maker is giving us a taster.
It’s no surprise to see that the chaps at Infiniti aren’t exactly keen on grant us the Sebastian Vettel FX50 technical specs available right now, but we can draw a few lessons from the image at hand.
There’s a redesigned front bumper, one with an included carbon fibre apron that mimics the appearance of a Formula 1 front wing.
A lesser impact on the overall appearance of the Infiniti FX50 can be seen with a full carbon fiber body kit that adds new side skirts, a new rear bumper and, of course, a new rear wing.
The latter also mimics the rear end of a Formula 1 racer, just as it would be fitting.
Final bonus details on the Sebastian Vettel Infiniti FX50 unveil the removed roof rails that have a sleeker aerodynamic appearance and some new alloy wheels.
At the end of the list, there’s a set of special badges included in the mix and there’s a good chance that Infiniti will only be making a limited run of these special FX50s.
