The Dubai Motor Show is currently going on and given the location and market we’re talking about, there’s nothing to be unveiled here that isn’t special.
And if it’s the British we’re talking about, what’s really important here is that they showcase their special Jaguar XJ with two new packs to make it even more special.
Rather unimaginatively named, these two packages Jaguar came up with for the XJ are called the Sport and Speed package.
In regards to the Sport pack, it specs up a Jaguar XJ with upgraded styling and a few aerodynamics extras all rolled into one.
Making sure you get to notice that this is no “ordinary” Jag XJ, there’s 20 inch alloys, red brake calipers.
When sitting inside the Jaguar XJ Sport you’ll notice the new (less comfortable) buckets seats up front and a set of “sporty” fittings all around you.
Now, if the Jaguar XJ Sport messes with the look and comfort rating of the flagship cat, the Speed setup offers up something considerably more substantial.
By fettling with the electronic speed limiter, the Jaguar XJ Speed no longer runs out of puff at the traditional 155 mph but instead can go all the way up to a blazing top speed of 174 mph.
Mind you, the latter option is only available on the seriously quick versions to begin with, those powered by the infamous Jaguar supercharged V8 engine.
