The Karma Revero is the official replacement of the old…Revero, you guessed it, the model being recently unveiled at the Laguna Beach, last weekend. This particular new model comes with a higher price than the previous and with tons of new goodies.
As opposed the “old” Revero which used to come with a MSRP price of $100,000, the new model can be had from a higher $130,000.
The car`s main highlights refer to new alloy wheels and a wide color palette at the body, along with new tweaks inside the cabin, like leather upholstery with wooden contrasting, digital instrument cluster for the driver, smartphone connectivity hooked to new infotainment system and much more.
But perhaps the car`s special ingredient is found under the hood, the new Revero coming with a flat-four cylinder engine from General Motors with 175 kW and hooked to a lithium-ion 21.4 KWh battery pack, sending the power to the rear axle, via a single-speed transmission. We are looking here at an overall of 301 kW and massive 1,330 Nm of torque.
With this whopping torque in mind, the model is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, at an electronically limited 200 km/h also, EV offers an increase range of 80 km, which is a good figure as opposed to the previous 50 km.
Another interesting fact is that the solar panels mounted to the roof add 2.5 km to the range. Other features refer to a 6.6 kWh L2 charger, which recharges the car`s battery in around 3 hours, if hooked to a 240V socket.
