No matter how popular they are, a small car maker like Lamborghini doesn’t get many chances to shine by showing off a new model.
The Lamborghini Aventador is their current star and, as far as we’ve been hearing, the Roadster version of this model will be unveiled at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.
Based on an already stunning vehicle, the Lamborghini Aventador’s open top version is expected to look even better.
Also, just like the Murcielago Roadster before it, the new version of the Lamborghini Aventador is likely to be lower to the ground.
A few styling cues will likely make the new convertible more stylish, though I have no idea how that could be achieved.
The performance figures are expected to be the same as the Lamborghini Aventador super coupe. That means the 6.5 liter V12 engine will push out a shade over the 700 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque.
Oh yeah, the Italians claim that the fuel economy will beat the 50 mpg mark in the new V12 powered convertible. Of course, that may have just been a pigment of my imagination.
One interesting promise the Italians did make about their Geneva main product is that they will come up with a much better roof system than before.
We’re not sure yet if they will opt for a trending and fashionable folding metal roof, or a more traditional cloth option.
Either way, the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will be better than the pain in the back that Murcielago used to have. Hopefully, it means there’s no more worries about needing tens of minutes to get out of the rain.
