I know you were waiting to get off work so you could go and order one but I’m afraid there some bad news for you, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is no longer available.
The hottest Lamborghini Gallardo to be ever made was to be made in twenty units and, reportedly, all of them have now been sold.
I may be a bit unfair on it since the Sesto Elemento is seriously different from a Gallardo. They may share the basic engine and a few bits but the differences are so big you’d be saying the A Class is the same as an SL.
The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento has been modified and re-engineered to such an extent it’s no longer road legal even.
That’s the downside, the major upside however is the vast amount of speed the car has gained since then. The V10 engine develops 570 horsepower like in some of the Gallardo versions.
On the brighter side, the weight of the whole car has been considerably lowered. Thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, a new chassis and an overly simplified interior the final weight is now 2.202 lbs.
This is why the 0 to 62 mph now comes up in just 2.5 seconds and the top speed is said to go decently over 210 mph.
The main purpose of the car will be track days and maybe some light racing, you know, between friends. And that’s where the low weight will certainly matter.
The new carbon ceramic disks should also put you in a good sitting with the extraordinary stopping power.
