The latest interview with Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, and the guys from Car&Driver, revealed that the Italian carmaker is planning a convertible version 10% more expensive.
The 10% whoop of Lamborghini’s tag price could be significant, raising costs to 3.3 million euro per unit! Consequently, it will be a limited series of about nine units.
Before you get too excited, bear in mind that Lamborghini officials may decide to keep their Veneno Lambo bodywork away from the public presentations. And so far, we can only rely on the information coming from that interview.
Just to summarize, the convertible will take the 6.5 liters engine with 12 cylinders in V from Aventador, plus the powertrain, without alteration.
The unit is currently delivering up to 740 HP, going from 0 to 100 km/h within 2.9 seconds. How much of these performances will Lamborghini improve through its new roadster is not obvious so far.
Meanwhile, we cannot help but wait and see what other information will surface the media in the next months. Even so, it appears that nine cars will cut off a little bit from the exclusivity of Lamborghini.
