While the Italians don’t have anything to say about their situation at the soon up and coming Paris Motor Show they have kindly announced the release of a new limited edition version of the Gallardo.

Lamborghini has teamed up with Swiss luxury watchmaker Blancpain to create a limited edition version of its baby creation, the Gallardo LP570-4 supercar which is intended to pay homage to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo racing cars.
So what has this limited edition got to offer you? Well, it’s a set of Skorpius alloy wheels with yellow-painted brake calipers and discs made from carbon-ceramic composite, external components, things like the diffuser and mirror casings are made from carbon-fiber, there’s an unique engine cover which is said to offer better ventilation and a cherry on top, there’s a rear wing that’s straight off the racing models. The finish of the exterior is black and the theme continues on the interior with black Alcantara detailed by yellow accents and visible carbon-fiber.
The 5.2 liter V10 engine with 570 horsepower that’s found in the series production Gallardo Superleggera and in the racing editions will power all four wheels in such a way that the car will hit 0 to 62 in 3.4 seconds and it will carry on to a top speed somewhere not far from 200 mph.
As to be expected with the Italians a bit of exageration has come with this release in them saying that at 1340 kilograms (dry weight) the car is lighter than any other Lamborghini to come before it but that’s not entirely true as the Superleggera has exactly the same weight.

Moving on, it seems that while we know it’ll be a limited edition we have no idea what it will be limited to and when the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain edition will be available.
