Mazda MX-5 Yusho is a one-off model unveiled at the 2012 Auto Mobil International Show, known as AMI, an event held in Germany at Leipzig.
The concept packs a powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit able to deliver 237 horsepower and 274Nm of torque.
The extra power comes from a new intercooler, a sports exhaust system, new supercharger and a retuned ECU unit.
At the exterior, the MX-5 Yusho sports a white finish, carbon fiber rear diffuser, boot lid spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels with Toyo Proxes R888 tires and a two-pipe exhaust system.
Mazda also claims that the model reaches now a top speed of 240 km/h while new sport catalysts, fuel injectors and a revised transmission are available as well.
Inside you will find a new pair of Recaro sport seats, leather and Alcantara, a new steering wheel and other minor tweaks. It remains to be seen if this concept model will inspire any production model bearing Mazda’s badge in the future.
