Despite recent efforts, we all have to concede that the minivan is still a primarily utilitarian vehicle and therefore lacks many of the things that petrolheads love.

Mazda’s attempt at changing this view includes two new, special edition versions of their Premacy minivan.
Enter the Mazda Premacy 20CS Aero Style and the Mazda Premacy 20CS Aero Style Touring Selection. I know the names aren’t even decent but given that these are JDM only machines they’re not the worst Mazda could’ve come up with.
In actual fact, the limited edition minivans are still minivans. The first of the limited edition kits includes a new Aero Package, a grip oriented combination of wheels and tires and a perky 2 liter engine.
Don’t for any moment think that this limited edition minivan now qualifies for the bare minimum of driving pleasure.
As for the second sort, the Mazda Premacy 20CS Aero Style Touring Selection the spec list includes all sort of boring practical things, stuff like self leveling low beam headlamps.
Additional extras include real hits with soccer moms, stuff like power sliding rear doors and all sorts of creature comforts.

Dads however may appreciate the leather-wrapped steering wheel with silver bezel and leather-wrapped shift knob somewhat more.
All in all I think Mazda made quite the effort to cheer up the Premacy minivan but since the entire concept of minivans is hopeless they didn’t get that much success.
