When it comes to luxury cars, the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has always been happy to provide. I mean, just think of how many official convoys have the brand’s vehicles in them.

But the Bulgarians from Vilner think they can improve the luxury Mercs. And so they set out to prove it with an SL.

How did they plan to do this? Well, the interior uses Nappa leather (to which they gave an antique effect), some crocodile leather and alcantara all stitched together with nice contrasting thread. The steering wheel also suffered some modifications, coming out a bit more ergonomic yet with an air of “tough” about it.

If you look up, you can see the roof all wrapped in alcantara. The rear view mirror and seat elements got the same treatment. They even went so far as to hand paint a patina on the wooden elements and gear stick.

Should you hand your Mercedes SL over to Vilner, you might even notice an improvement in soundproofing and vibration reduction. They didn’t even bother with stitching their emblem, and instead used lasers to project it. Put it all together and you will find that they managed to use 5 different exotic materials to a positive effect on the interior of the Mercedes SL.
