Mercedes has opened a design division that will create special non-automotive products. Mercedes has officially announced the inauguration of the special division Mercedes-Benz Style, the designers of the manufacturer in Stuttgart following to create more than their own automotive elements, but also lifestyle products and of industrial design.
The first product that will go out of designers hands from Mercedes and that will bear the signature of newly created division of Mercedes-Benz Style will be the interior of a helicopter, followed the next product to be a yacht. The helicopter will be presented for the first time in public at the European Convention&Exhibition 2010, an event which takes place in Geneva on May 4.
Mercedes-Benz Style division will be located in the same place with the Mercedes design center.
It’s the German city of Sindelfingen, the modern building which houses the designers of the German manufacturer being finished in 1998 and located in the near of Mercedes Benz Technology Center.
