As one of the millions of things I don’t understand, I’d include the point of safety cars, especially ones that are just as powerful as the racing cars.
The Porsche teams went for the ALMS circuits and Mercedes countered with the C63 AMG conquering the safety position at the lead of the pack in DTM racing.
Who cares how many thousands of horsepower will be ripping apart the track a few minutes after the safety car goes out, the fastest Mercedes sedan is here.
The Mercedes C63 AMG will be premiering itself in the new career with the opening season of the German Touring Car Masters (something also known as the DTM) season at Hockenheimring in Baden-Württemberg.
Under the bonnet we find some 487 horsepower originating from a 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that Mercedes is going to do away with in the near future.
Overall, the way to see this perfectly is like a sedan version of the F1 C63 AMG Estate medical car.
Oh and the difference in sounds happening on the track, a place where screaming Formula 1 racers can compete with the rumbling DTM crowds, might make a substantial difference to the overall “work” experience of this Mercedes C63 AMG.
