Mercedes-Benz has been on constant competition with the other German luxury manufacturer, BMW for more than twenty years. And now, the Merc is enjoying the supremacy over BMW for the 2013 luxury market.

Mercedes succeeded in selling 33,007 units in last December alone, thanks to its new fresh models like the CLA-Class, the redesigned E-Class and the hot S-Class. With this in its pocket, Mercedes increased its sales in 2013 with 14 percent.

At the opposite is BMW with 309,280 vehicles in 2013, managing to come close to its rival with great demands headed towards the last two months of 2013.

According to Steve Cannon, Mercedes USA`s CEO, the luxury car manufacturer from Stuttgart, managed to have record sales throughout 2013, due to the company`s ability to concentrate its forces to the entire product line from top to bottom and to deliver high-tech and performance vehicles to their customers.

2014 MErcedes-Benz S-Class

The record sales were decided by the launch of the new CLA-Class, late September, with around 2,300 units in its first week.
With the 2014 up-ahead, Mercedes is hoping to maintain its crown with the new arrival of GLA, which is expected to have the same success as its fellow CLA.
