In the world of premier supercars, the Mercedes SLS AMG had one really good thing going for it, the distinguished presence of a grown up luxury car manufacturer.
With tuning on the model by the Germans at FAB Design, every last shred of that appeal went towards the Mercedes SLS AMG, disappeared.
The engine tune brings the 6.2 liter V8 engine, to a point where it develops 615 horsepower and torque levels can reach 690 Nm.
With the new performance level it takes the Mercedes SLS Gullstream just 3.6 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph and when you reach 11 seconds on the clock you’re already doing 124 mph.
There’s a final speed figure of 202 mph which should be more than plenty, but all this is positive stuff.
The Koni coilover kit falls in the same category, as does the stainless steel exhaust and the integrated valve control but the FAB Design Mercedes SLS Gullstream does have a big problem.
It’s now so weirdly restyled, that it’s nothing more of a shouting statement about one middle-aged owners malfunctioning sexuality.
Frankly, if you see supercar with a huge bonnet, massive wheels and a lot of body modifications no matter what a Mercedes badge means you know there’s a problem in the underpants of the owner don’t you?
