There had been some news about how the guys over at Mini would be coming over to the Geneva Motor Show with a bit of a van concept and now we’re finally getting down to it.
Some initial leaks show us several photos of what the the aforementioned model would be like and there’s a bit of a disappointment.
We haven’t forgotten all of the promises in product lineup BMW made when they bought mini. So far we got an estate, a crossover and we’re bound to see this van soon.
There’s a Coupe to consider but it really is not that new a model. The same applies for the Mini Clubvan Concept.
It’s essentially a Mini Clubman estate which doesn’t have any windows at the back.
Not only that, but the Mini Clubman gets a specially adapted interior round the rear which is designed to make best of the loading space available.
The final change comes in the form of a metal wire partition behind the seats. This keeps the passengers of the Mini Clubvan concept safe from the stuff in back.
We’re not looking at a very exciting model for Mini, or any brand for that purpose, but we are looking at a model that could end up being profitable for the brand.
Certain companies looking for a slightly practical car that still has a pretty fun looking design on its side will appreciate it for sure.
We’ll find out what Mini’s plans for their Clubvan Concept are next month when the show gets started.
