The most impressive and highly appreciated model from the Mitsubishi automaker, the Lancer Evo, will not see another day, as the company has decided to put a stop on the famous model.
The legend of the rallying all over the world, with more than 20 years of existence in all competitions, the famous Mitsubishi Lancer Evo will slowly but surely die out.
The company`s representatives stated that Mitsubishi Motors has other plans than continuing the manufacturing of a gasoline-powered sedan, being more oriented towards electric vehicle technology.
“Moving forward, the technology honed in the Lancer Evolution model will continue to be advanced and proactively incorporated into future models,” representatives also concluded.
Thus, the present Mitsubishi Evolution will continue to be sold until all the units will run out, with the model to be in production for more than twenty years.
To be a reminder, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo is at the tenth generation to be assembled since 2007, coming with a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit, developing 276 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque.
