The new generation of Mazda 2 was caught on camera recently by spy photographers from Inautonews publication, with the car wearing some camouflage.
Rumors of a new generation Mazda 2 were rendered a while ago, but it was only these days that we could get a glimpse on the car.
As a first look, it might seem that the new Mazda 2 would bear the Hazumi Concept feature, with the same Kodo design to be rendered on the Mazda 6 or the Mazda 3 as well.
Very important to state, our Mazda 2 will not feature any carbon fiber components at the exterior, since the Japanese manufacturer wants to keep the car at a competitive price.
Inside the Mazda 2, one could notice the slight changes that the car enhances, with a modern interior that could resemble the Hazumi Concept as well, since it bears a transparent HUD, also available on Mazda 3.
Under the hood, the new Mazda 2 comes with a new fresh out of the box 1.5-liter SkyActiv-D diesel, which might seem to be fuel-efficient enough.
So far, there are no other details rendered, but hopefully we will find out more in the months to come, as it is believed that the new Mazda 2 will be unveiled somewhere at the end of the year.
