The French people from Peugeot announced their plans to unveil the new 208 XY in production form at this year’s edition of the Paris Motor Show.
The new 208 XY will share the stand at Paris with the sportier 208 GTi, both models being previewed by concepts earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show.
In terms of styling, the new French model gets 17-inch alloy wheels, new front grille with chrome accents but also fog lamp surrounds, mirror caps and window trim in the same finish.
Entering the cabin you will find leather seats and dashboard, a panoramic glass roof, 7-inch touch screen display, automatic parking assist, aluminum pedals and a new steering wheel.
Under the bonnet, the new 208 XY comes with a 1.6-liter e-HDi with outputs of 92hp and 115hp but also a 1.6-liter VTi with 120hp and a range-topping 1.6-liter THP delivering 155 horsepower.
Peugeot will pair these engines either to a five-speed or six-speed manual gearboxes.
