Here we have a new set of spy photos showing us the new Volkswagen Golf Plus, a larger version of the seventh generation Golf.
Expected to hit the dealerships early next year, the Golf Plus comes with increased dimensions, namely it will be about 5cm longer and 15cm taller.
Under the hood, expect to see two 1.2-liter and 1.4-liter TSI petrol engines with outputs ranging from 85hp to 112hp but also a 1.6-liter TDI unit with 105hp and a 2.0-liter diesel with 150 horses. Of course, you should expect several powertrains to carry over from the standard Volkswagen Golf.
In terms of design, you should not expect any major improvements as it will get a lot of design cues from the base VW Golf.
The German model still wears a thick layer of camouflage, therefore, it might miss the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
