The new Volkswagen Golf VII GTD has been spotted at a German dealership, near the GTI version.
Of course, we’ve seen the new model at the Geneva Motor Show but today we get the opportunity to see it in flesh. Sporting a new Carbon Steel Grey exterior finish, the new Golf GTD packs a more powerful 2.0-liter unit producing 181 horsepower and 379Nm of torque.

This means that the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in 7,5 seconds while the top speed is rated at 230 km/h. However, the second video below shows the 0-100 km/h distance covered in 7,1 seconds, which is even better than the official figures.
Fuel economy figures for the new Volkswagen Golf GTD are rated at 56mpg US or 4,1 liters/100km.
With this been said, be sure to connect your headphones and watch the videos as you’ll also be able to hear the revs of the four-cylinder engine.
