Renowned for the luxury cars it makes, the British car maker Rolls-Royce has presented to the US the Rolls-Royce Wraith. Yet another sight for sore eyes at the New York Auto Show.

With its first sighting at the Geneva Auto Show, the Rolls-Royce Wraith isn’t an entirely new car, but rather a Ghost with all the panels replaced.

Although sporting the same engine, a 6.6 liter twin-turbo V12, the Rolls-Royce Wraith manages to extract 61 more hp than the Ghost. All of the 624 horses go towards the wheels thanks to the ZF eight speed automatic gear box. All this sums up to a 4.4 acceleration to 92km/h and 800Nm of torque available at 1.500rpm.

Linked to the GPS system, the gear box will analyze the road ahead and will make sure you are in the correct gear, thus avoiding unpleasant surprises the route can give you. For all that it offers, the Rolls-Royce Wraith will also fetch big money from any who would buy it. That price will be somewhere above 300.000 dollars.
