The Nissan GT-R is one of the fastest road-legal models, setting high-standards in terms of performance and technological enhancements. This is why the hot model has been long highlighted and showcased in different photo sessions, videos and lately, in two renderings, presenting the sports car in a convertible body.
The renderings with the Nissan GT-R Convertible are signed by the famous rendering artist Theophilus Chin, and are previewing the sports car with no hard top, the roof being replaced by a soft top. We are not sure that the Japanese carmaker will ever build such a model, but as it is now, this particular convertible model looks quite appealing!

As a reminder, the Nissan GT-R was first produced in 2007 in a four-coupe body style, being fitted with a front-wheel drive layout. This model might be considered unique in terms of body language, as it was designed by Shiro Nakamura.

In its restyled and improved version, the present Nissan GT-R is coming with an upgraded 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 unit, hooked to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Unfortunately, we won`t be able to see it on the roads in the next couple of years anymore, as the Japanese carmaker is already planning a successor soon enough!
Very strange to see the GTR without a hardtop but it’s good to see what Nissan could possibly do with the GTR in the years to come.
