I love Alfa Romeo vehicles, I find it hard to understand people who don’t feel the same way about these cars but I will concede something to them.
While officially a flagship vehicle, the Alfa Romeo 8C did suffer from a few dynamic shortfalls that didn’t quite match up to the dreamy exterior of this vehicle.
These dynamic shortfalls may have had something to do with the Fiat ownership and the risk of actually making a car that’s faster than a Ferrari or a Maserati.
Novitec is a renown German tuner who felt the need to rectify some of these shortfalls.
This is where the 4.7 liter V8 engine gets a brand new supercharger that seriously increases the performance figures of the Alfa Romeo 8C’s heart.
Final updates reach 600 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque which is enough for the Spyder version of the Alfa Romeo 8C to go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 189.5 mph.
Still in a fixing mood, only with the handling side, Novitec fits the Alfa Romeo 8C with a height-adjustable threaded coil-over suspension, new wheels (which aren’t to my liking) and improved tires to complement everything else.
We’re told there’s leather and Alcantara for the interior with a wide pallet of color available as well despite even though to be honest, the Alfa Romeo 8C didn’t really suffer in that department.
