At the market launch of the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta, the Italian manufacturer has published a series of official pictures with the replacement model of 147. Giulietta sports hatchback comes with an entirely new platform called Compact, which will be used for a variety of Fiat -Chrysler cars.
Exclusively available as a five-door hatchaback, the new model is measuring 4.35 m in length, 1.46 m height and 1.80 m wide, with a wheelbase of 2.63 m. The load capacity is 350 liters. At launch’s moment, Giulietta will be offered with two petrol engines and two diesels, all equipped with turbo and Start & Stop system.
Therefore, the initial range will include the petrol TB 1.4-liter and 120 hp, 1.4 liter Multiair GT units, that develops 170 horsepower, while talking about the diesels, we have the 1.6 liter JTDM engine capable to develop 105 horses and JTDM 2.0 liter that produces 170 hp. Later this year, Alfa Romeo will introduce the turbocharged TBI engine of 1.75-liter, with direct injection, developing 235 hp and a maximum torque of 340 Nm.
