The Peugeot 308 GT has been officially unveiled by the French carmaker, an event taking place ahead the public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The Peugeot 308 GT is the newest addition from the French carmaker, filling the gap between the standard lineup model and the forthcoming GTI hatch version.
The Peugeot 308 GT will be introduced as a five-door hatchback, as well as a SW station wagon, with the two versions also to be showcased at the event.
The new Peugeot 308 GT will be powered by two engines, meaning a diesel one, as well as a more powerful turbo-charged gasoline choice.
First, the Peugeot 308 GT will get the 2.0-liter inline four BlueHDI diesel, developing 178 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, with an average fuel consumption of just 3.33 liters every 100 km/h.
The diesel will be shortly followed by the 1.6-liter petrol THP unit, which will develop 202 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque, hooked to a six-speed manual transmission.
The 1.6-liter petrol THP will come with an average fuel consumption of 4.66 liters/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 130 g/km.
