The Peugeot French based automaker has taken advantage of the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed to unveil the 208 GTi 30th Anniversary Special Edition model, which celebrates 30 years of existence of the legendary 205 GTi.
The Peugeot 208 GTi 30th Anniversary Special Edition has made its appearance at the festival in a two-tone red and black finish, wearing 18-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
As a tribute given to the 205 GTi, the Peugeot 208 GTi 30th Anniversary Special Edition comes under the hood with a special power, provided by its 1.6-liter THP four-cylinder gasoline unit, being compliant with Euro 6.
The engine is producing a total output of 208 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, the unit being connected to a six-speed manual transmission which sends all the power to the front wheels.
With the help of the six-speed transmission, the sportscar is able of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.
The Peugeot 208 GTi 30th Anniversary Special edition will hit dealerships in November in a limited number, with no details yet to be confirmed.
