The Porsche Cayenne is a great piece of kit but the badge it sports on the front is worth so much more to people that tuning it is a necessity if you want it to make you feel special.
So far, the Porsche Cayenne was tuned by SpeedArt, Techart, TopCar and many others.
Porsche must have decided that they could do better because they just came up with a couple of engine kits for the Cayenne that are meant to show “amateurs” what things should be like.
Possibly preparing for a new take on diesels and the US, the Germans updated the V6 oil-burner to a point where it’s 20 lbs lighter, develops 245 horsepower, returns 32.7 mpg on a US cycle and also chucks out less CO2 out the back.
In short, Porsche made the Cayenne diesel better in every aspect, only slightly, but better nevertheless.
The cherry on top was obviously never going to be a Powerkit for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and it makes the car shamefully fast.
Now developing 540 horsepower and torturing the tires with 553 lb-ft of torque, this Porsche Cayenne is very likely not to be overtaken much throughout its life.
