Heh, when will the Germans ever get tired? No idea, and that answer is definitely not coming from the guys working for Porsche because they have an announcement on the opposite.

Apparently the high-performance brand isn’t interested in making another supercar, one to beat the McLaren MP4-12C and the Ferrari 458 Italia.

To that end, Porsche is going to make a mid engined two seater with a scheduled production number almost definite.

We’re not told exactly what engine this particular Porsche is going to get but either the 911 GT2 RS’ 3.6 liter twin-turbo engine or one of the turbocharged V8s that can be found in the Panamera or the Cayenne.

Either way Porsche choses to go, this mid-engined monster is supposed to deliver around 600 or so horsepower and odds are that the weight will be low.

Some predictions even call for a lesser weight than the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and even for improved handling.

Once all of these, come together it’d be clear that Porsche isn’t toying around with this sort of improved 911.
