The German folks at Porsche wanted to prove the capabilities of the new Panamera S-E Hybrid model by holding several drive tests and see how the model performs.
The main concern was the fuel economy figures and how they compare to the official numbers. In this regard, Porsche asked a total of 42 journalists to test the German hybrid on a 28-kilometer trip including both city and highway driving.

According to the official specs, the Panamera S-E Hybrid is capable to offer fuel economy figures of 3,1 liters/100km or 75,8mpg US in the New European Driving Cycle.

A total of four models covered about 1,200 kilometers obtaining an average fuel consumption of 4,4 liters per 100 km while the most efficient test returned 2,8 liters/100 km.

Porsche claimed that climate control was turned on while testing the model and the top speed achieved on Autobahn was 230 km/h, things that certainly increased the figures.
