After parent company Volkswagen told us something about their design ideas and direction, the guys at Porsche is about to do the same.
The iconic sports car maker will be creating new designs made around the lines and design language of the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept.
For the Panamera at least, the same sort of design could really work, for the rest of the lineup we’ll take a breather and expect some previews before deciding.
Porsche AG President and CEO, Matthias Muller said that the first model to get these upgraded design lines will be the next generation crossover.
Porsche’s Macan, or whatever it’s going to end up being called is actually going to look quite decent. All the renders 3rd party designers came up with didn’t really fit this description.
Oddly shaped cars are going to be a part of history at Porsche. Even the Porsche 918 hybrid hypercar is going to benefit from the new design cues.
From what we’ve been able to tell so far, the 918 is also a pretty looking car and we might as well consider that Ferrari bores will have trouble criticizing these cars.
While they may pick on the SUVs of our range we’re going to have to remind them about the time when Ferrari made some hideous cars that didn’t hold a candle to Alfa Romeo sedans.
Getting back to the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept, there’s a good chance that it will hit production in quite a similar shape to the concept.
