Porsche decided to release new details on the 918 Spyder sports car, a limited model which benefits from a sophisticated hybrid powertrain and several other high end systems.
Under the hood, as you probably know, sits a 4.6-liter V8 unit producing 608 horsepower and two electric motors adding another 129hp.

With a total output of 887 horsepower and 800Nm of torque, the German sports car does the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2,8 seconds with a top speed of 340 km/h.

Even though we talk about an impressive supercar, the driver can choose the E-Power mode which cuts the emissions to zero, running the model on electricity alone.

A carbon fiber reinforced polymer body provides a very good total mass, most of the components being manufactured with lightweight materials. A novelty is the Porsche Active Aerodynamic System which improves downforce by adjusting several components such as the wings or the air flaps.

For now, there are no official pricing or availability details but we expect more info in this regard in the coming months.
