Surprises just keep on happening. Sometimes they’re good and sometimes they’re not but sometimes, like now, they’re funny as hell.
Renault did have a bit of a scare earlier in the year with some espionage situation on the EV development side of the French company but recent information seems to offer some security.
After Renault confused us and sort of threw suspicion towards the Chinese authorities the situation really got problematic.
The latest development into Renault and their EV espionage situation had them suspend employees, one of which threatened to sue the company.
Apparently, the company now had Chief Operating Officer Patrick Pelata come forward to French newspaper Le Figaro that there was some information which simply mislead the company’s leadership.
Because the situation is now so complex, Renault now has two theories. One would be that the company espionage did happen and one of the senior executives is now protecting their source.
The other side at Renault would be be that the new espionage denial situation is a continuity of the problem and would then lead to fraud.
I’m not sure about what’s going on with the Renault EV espionage and such but I have to say, this is one fun thing to keep learning about.
