The gorgeous Captur Crossover from Renault is preparing for an official debut in Russia, under the Kaptur name, the model looking rather different in size than the European version.
We are looking here at a more rugged and heavy Kaptur crossover, that comes with an increased ground clearance from 163 mm to 204 mm. The Kaptur also sports a modified suspension to cope with off-road capabilities.
In terms of visuals, the Renault Kaptur is looking more aggressive with the special C-shaped LED taillights, larger front grille and other standout design lines.
Thanks to the added 68 mm to the car`s wheelbase, the Kaptur comes with more space inside the cabin, with an increased cargo capacity of 10 liters, for an overall 387 liters. Other features inside refer to the 7.0-inch touchscreen display, heated front seats, remote start function or three-spoke steering wheel.
In the engine department, the Renaul Kaptur carries over the standard unit lineup, meaning a 0.9-liter turbo-petrol flat-three with 66 kW, as well as the automatic 1.2-liter turbo-petrol four-cylinder with 88 kW.
If the standard Captur comes with front-wheel drive configuration, the Russian Kaptur variant features a four-wheel drive layout with locking centre differential, which increases the car`s off-road performances.
