For Seat, the Mexican car market is an important one, numbering the sixth biggest market worldwide and second outside of Europe, with Algeria coming first.
After the Seat Ibiza was launched in Mexico, the car maker witnessed a 60 percent increase in sales, making it the ninth best selling brand in the country.
The new Seat Leon sports a variety of gasoline and diesel engines, from the 1.2 TSi engine producing 85 or 104 Hp to the 2.0 liter TDi capable of 181 Hp. Depending on your choice, you will have the engine matched with five and six speed manual or six and seven speed DSG dual-clutch transmissions.
Regarding the Mexico launch, Edgar Estrada said that “We are confident that the strength of the new Leon will help us continue to grow in Mexico. Our commercial offer is renewed with the Leon, that enables enjoyment of the latest technology and offers great value for money”.
The new Seat Leon has already sold a quarter million units in Europe, and the company will ship it to Mexico from Spain.
