Seat decided to bring a special concept model at this year’s Wörthersee, namely the Ibiza Cupster.

As its name suggests, the prototype is based on the Ibiza Cupra but gets some styling tweaks alongside with the roofless configuration.

The Spanish roadster also stands out thanks to the 18-inch alloy wheels and the New Orange exterior finish. Inside, Seat fitted racing seats wrapped in Alcantara, a revised steering wheel and other minor tweaks.

“The Ibiza has always been the heart of SEAT – a young, dynamic car with an emotional design, a good head for the practical things in life and excellent value for money,” says the company.

Under the bonnet sits a 1.4-liter TSI capable to deliver 180 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. With some help from a seven-speed DSG transmission, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in about 7 seconds. Seat showed no intentions to produce the Ibiza Cupster yet but good feedback might change the company’s point.
