The Czech based Skoda has finally taken the Octavia RS in Australia ready to hit its dealers with prices to start at 36,490 AUD.
The fresh Skoda RS, the standard model, is already in Australia for more than a couple of months, and now, its faster sibling RS is also available for sale.
The 162TSI Sedan is the cheapest version of the model, coming with a six-speed manual for 36,490 AUD, while the 135TDI Wagon comes with the highest price of 41,240 AUD, for a six-speed auto.
As for the power outputting under the hood, we might be talking about a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol burner, developing a pure 162 kW and 350 Nm of torque.
You can also opt for the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder but with turbo-diesel unit, putting forward 135 kW and a higher 380 Nm of torque. The diesel unit hits the whole 0 to 100/h sprint in around 8.2 seconds.
The fresh Octavia RS is sitting on the same MQB platform manufactured by the VW Group, being a little bit longer and wider than its predecessor.
The Australians will be able to but the new Octavia RS starting this April.
