Literally days after miniature car specialist Smart unveiled a 2012 facelift for their iconic ForTwo model, we get to see a new special edition of the same vehicle.

The new edition features a trendy “apparently” misspelled name and is entitled the Sharpred. Really? Does saving a tap of the space bar mean that much to branding?

Apart from that rather childish idea of the name, the new Smart ForTwo Sharpred edition does have a few words to utter.

Straight from the outset Smart tells us the ForTwo Sharpred is special because they only plan to make some 1.800 examples of it.

The most important of redeeming features here is the new look which features a two-tone color theme, a set of 15 inch alloy wheels and a bit of a lower body kit makeover.

Needless to say, you can have the Smart ForTwo Sharpred in any color you want, as long as it’s black with the visible red paint for the Tridion safety cell.

You do get a bit of flexibility from Smart as you can have yours in either coupe or convertible form.

Inside the limited edition Smart ForTwo Sharpred we find a bit of custom work as well with the black leather seats and dashboard trim getting some red accents in the stitching and outlines.

Other than that, we’re looking at the same equipment one would find in a regular 2012 Smart ForTwo that’s ordered with the Passion package.

Pricing information isn’t fully available but one of these special edition Smart cars will start at €14.490 (a shade under 19k USD) in Germany.
