Tesla, the American electric company that has launched to popularity from nowhere is ready to show us that they can make a second car.
That second car is a crossover affair they call the Model X and which we have to admit, looks pretty good, has some unusual doors and was just unveiled.

First things first, at the moment, the schedule calls for a 2013 market launch, the doors are called falcon and the price is said to be quite the decent one.
Tesla’s Elon Musk promises that the 2014 Model X will be priced around the same sort of money as the upcoming Tesla Model S.
That’s impressive already and we’ve only just begun delving into the details of the Tesla Model X Crossover. The electric engine and battery setup means there’s also some epic performance.

0 to 60 mph should occur in just 4.4 seconds which is not only remarkable for a crossover, it’s quicker than most sports car out there.
Top speed is not likely to be as impressive but the fact that seven full sized adults can be seated in it is. Also impressive is the promised range of up to 300 miles.
The later is dictated by buying the model with the biggest batteries but it’s still quite a long way ahead of other vehicles that run on battery power.

Handling is supposed to be a peach but this is where Mr. Musk’s data becomes a little shaky as that enormous battery pack will certainly compromise one aspect or the other.
On the believable side, we’re told the Tesla Model X is expected to have a turning circle that’s as small as the one of the Mini Cooper.
