Ever since the full unveiling of the Toyota FT-86 original concept, the addition of a second concept and the prolific continuation of the series, we’ve been waiting for a miracle.

Without being a little to o ambitious I’d say it has finally happened and it came to life in the form of a leak in the new Modellista brochure.

In case you don’t know what that is, it’s Toyota’s in-house tuning arm and one of the few real authorities on just about anything Toyota, Lexus or Scion.

The images at hand are pretty poor in quality but given the circumstances it’s doubtful you can do better than what we currently have.

Still not exactly impressive in terms of unveiling, the leak of the Toyota FT-86 doesn’t include a set of specs, performance figures or fuel economy stats.

What little information we have comes from the interior shots and they reveal as follows; a six speed manual gearbox, a start button, an ESP system that’s easy to turn off and a pretty substantial redline.

The 2.0 liter Boxer engine will develop around 200 horsepower and it can rev up to around 7500 rpm and since it’s mated to a manual gearbox it sounds like a recipe for success.

If only Toyota, Scion or Subaru would finally get down to making it already.
