Once upon a time, the guys from Top Gear went on to prove that the Toyota Hilux is the toughest truck out there.
And after setting it on fire, dumping it in the ocean and blowing up a building with the car on top, they still managed to get the engine running.
So when Toyota announced they will be selling the Hilux Invincible, it is easy to understand why expectations were high. But in spite of the presumptuous name, the Invincible edition is not what it seems.
What the Invincible offers is a range-topping Hilux. The interior is upgraded with a silver underguard, plenty of chrome trims and the appropriate badges. There is even a higher tier trim, the Invincible Sport, that will also give you new leather seats and a set of custom wheels.
Under the hood of the Invincible Toyota Hilux you get the choice of either a 2.5 liter D-4D engine that goes great with a manual gear box. The 3.9 liter D-4D unit has the option of either a manual or automatic transmissions. Oh, and there is also the option of 4WD.
