The South Korean based carmaker has announced the arrival of the 2018 Tucson Sport, the SUV being highlighted as well in the video below. It is based on a concept SUV unveiled last year at SEMA, and comes with an evolutionary design and the latest technologies, not to mention a powerful engine.

Once it will arrive in dealerships across the United States in a couple of months, the hotter version of the regular Tucson will cost $25,150 without the $980 destination and handling fee.

For the cost you will get a bright blue paintjob at the exterior, updated and more aggressive front and rear fascia, 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/45R19 tires or chromed dual-exhaust system.

The interior follows the exterior features with leathered steering wheel or shift knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity key with push button start, CleanAir Ionizer and auto defogger, windshield wiper-deicer and more.

The model also comes with the latest technologies onboard. It also use a wide range of driver assistance systems, like blind spot detection system with rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assist.

Power comes from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine which develops 181 horsepower and 237 Nm of torque, which is quite a good improvement from the standard flat-four with 164 horsepower and 204 Nm of torque. The engine is also paired to a standard six-speed manual. However, if you don’t get used to it, you can also choose the optional automatic; the latter one comes with a MSRP of $26,550, without the $980 destination and handling fee.
