The 2016 Volkswagen Passat is now available in Australia from the base entry-level 34,990 AUD, the model launching six versions on the market, like the 132TSI Comfortline, 132TSI Comfortline Wagon or the top of the line 140TDI Highline Wagon.

The base 132TSI Sedan is coming with a lot of standard features, such as the 17-alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limiter, rearview camera, sat-nav with a 6.5-inch screen, USB, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and a few more. Under the hood, the 132TSI Sedan is packing a 1.8-liter petrol engine, with 132 kW and 250 Nm of torque.

Next, the 132TSI Comfort is adding safety systems, like the blind sport monitor, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, rear-cross traffic alert, or the low speed autonomous brakes. Inside, this version is also equipped with an 8-inch screen, leather sports seats, or heated seats.

The 140TDI Highline version is tweaked with high-end materials inside, like the Nappa leather and piano black/aluminum inserts. The Highline is also available with the following packages: the Driver Assistant Package, Luxury Package, as well as the R-Line Package.
