I do reckon that the Germans at Volkswagen need to take an idea from the famous cartoon and movie hero, the Mask. They need to start telling themselves the same one-liner.
“Somebody stop me”. Are you listening Volkswagen, there’s a simple line you need to keep track of and not go beyond it like it seems you are.

Seriously, a Cross Volkswagen Up! was spied during the usual winter testing sessions and it’s not really a joyous moment. I mean it.
The already quite flat and unfriendly Volkswangen Up! is about to get itself well on route towards people who don’t live near a proper road.
If you road you usually drive on has the same texture as the Moon or Mars, you might want to stick around. Actually you know what? Don’t just don’t,

When it does hit the market it will likely cost a bundle of money and there will be a plenty of options to chose from in the same budget.
I would suggest that you just get yourself a Dacia Duster and forget about the argument. The only thing unpleasant the Volkswagen Cross Up! will drive on is wet leaves.
As all version before it, the majority of changes are related to a bit more ride height and new wheels. Those, together with a new underbody do make light trails easier to go through.

I don’t know who’d want to go up the mountain (or even hill) in a vehicle the size of the Volkswagen Up! Seriously VW, somebody needs to stop you.
