Volkswagen unveiled a new concept in Geneva, this time based on the Estate version of the seventh-generation Golf. We talk about the Golf Estate R-Line, a prototype which most likely foreshadows the series model.
Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-liter TDI engine producing 150 horsepower and 320Nm of torque. At the exterior, the German estate model sports 18-inch alloy wheels, new front and rear bumpers, gloss black inserts and a rear spoiler.
Inside, Volkswagen offers new leather upholstery, revised seats, R-Line badging, new floor mats and gloss black trim.
“For the first time: There has never been a Golf Estate in R-Line design; so the concept shows for the first time how Volkswagen might envision this version,” says Volkswagen.
According to the company, the concept also features a new gearbox and four-wheel drive traction.
