Schmidt Revolution introduces a new tuning package for the Volkswagen Golf GTI, namely the Mk5 model. The German company opted for a complete tuning package including several appearance upgrades along important performance tweaks.
The exterior features new front and rear bumpers, two-color 19-inch alloy wheels with Maragoni tires, a two-pipe exhaust system and few other minor touches. Under the bonnet, the 2.0-liter TFSI engine gets a remapped ECU unit and a modified air intake for a total output of 271 horsepower, with 74 horses more than the standard model.
Schmidt Revolution preferred to let the specialists from STO-chip tuning to prepare the performance upgrades as they are mainly focused on aesthetic packages.
“Various details inside and out – e.g. a special radiator grille with honeycomb mesh and red trim, black side skirts, plaid seats, aluminum inserts, and private Tacho design – are “taken over” plainly,” adds the company.
Other features of Schmidt Revolution’s Volkswagen Golf GTI include a high performance sport suspension but also a new Kenwood navigation system at the interior. Pricing has not been revealed yet.
